The atmosphere and staff were very nice. The food was delicious. They served Noon Barbari before the main meal
In my experience Sadaf is the best Persian restaurant in Cologne. The food was tasty and the staff were friendly, the payment method is cash.
This review is written by someone who’s absolutely in love with Persian food and makes it a mission to try every Iranian restaurant wherever they go. This restaurant is truly one of the best in the world. The design feels like the cozy home of an Iranian hostess—it gives off more of a warm dinner party vibe than a typical restaurant, and I absolutely loved that. The family running the place was incredibly kind—from the lady working in the dining area to her son, who was in the kitchen cooking (he even came out to greet me and say welcome, which was such a lovely gesture). We tried almost every dish, and each one was more delicious than the last. The starters were served with freshly baked barbari bread, which I really enjoyed. And please, please try their homemade doogh—it was fantastic! If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Everything was perfect. Thank you! I truly hope that one day, in a free Iran, I’ll be able to come to your restaurant there.
It's really recommended. Maybe the best Persian Kebabs are serving here. It was so good and delicious that it's not easily to find something like that in Iran also.
I ordered *Sadaf Kabab*, *Fesenjan* and *Dugh* Positives: + Elegant & well doctorated + I really liked the kebab, was well done 10/10 + Staff were friendly as well. Good to knows: - The tea at the end is not free= 3eu costs. - Fesenjan is delicious but sweet version (for those who prefer sour or sweet) - extra butter costs 1 euro - Dugh is also mild (good for foreigners)
First time I wanted to visit this restaurant during my last trip to Cologne in 2019 but it was closed for renovation. This time I tried again and was lucky to get easily free table for lunch. Decor of restaurant is beautiful. Very kind lady who serve you. But something was wrong... I can't say that the food was bad or it was not delicious but could be much more better for sure. For sure you need to have your own experience. Will I come back again here, probably no....
